CD Release Party For Rise and Shine a Huge Success

Wednesday January 30th was the big night that kicked off the new CD release by Ed Hale and the Transcendence entitled “Rise and Shine.” A simply spectacular night at the beautiful Café Nostalgia on Miami Beach, the club was filled to capacity packed with more than 480 people who came to celebrate the first album release by Ed Hale in five years and the debut by this new group.

The club was decorated with balloons of blue and silver, bubble machines, and many beautiful young ladies dressed like princesses and goddesses, who were more than happy to give you a spray of an essential oil of your choosing. Fortune cookies were passed out at the door that contained lyrics from various songs on the new album, and the champagne was flowing.

The show was hosted and MCd by local music promoter Danny Jessup who was dressed in a white tuxedo, top hat, tails, and all. The night featured guest performances by Suzy Rogovin from Israel, who sang traditional Ladino music and Mathew Sabatella who performed a brilliant set of his special brand of dark and moody acoustic rock. Ed Hale and the Transcendence then took the stage for an explosive half hour set that got the crowd into a rollicking frenzy. They were then followed by the energetic and frenetic rock of The Derek Cintron 3 who closed the night.

Many local notables also attended the show including Jim Camacho of The Goods fame, Rene Alvarez of Sixo, Alex Diaz, Todd Thompson from Dharma Bomb, Omine, Karen Feldner from Trophy Wife -who sang with the band- and many more.
